Petrotech Inspections is a South African owned and managed business with 8 years of experience in the Offshore Marine, Oil and Gas Industry.
We provide skilled Rope Access Assisted Inspection, Insulation and Fabric Maintenance personnel/teams for in-transit and back-to-back rotations on Rigs, FPSO’s and Tankers.
The Owners are actively engaged in the daily running and operations of Petrotech. Management is fully involved in the implementation and maintenance of the company’s ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
Our primary focus is the supply and management of trained and experienced rope access teams to the Offshore Marine, Oil and Gas Sector for:
- Integrity and inspection surveys of topside piping systems, pressure vessels, tanks and ships structures including high quality data capture, formatting and reporting.
- Topside piping and pressure vessel insulation development and installation/fitting
- UHP / Grit blasting and painting of ship structure - Fabric Maintenance

Services
Petrotech has been providing rope access inspection and maintenance services to the South African petrochemical and industrial sectors for over 16 years, and are a full and active member of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA).
Our speciality is the provision and management of qualified and experienced Inspection Personnel. We have valuable experience in conducting Material Condition Surveys and Assessments of top-side vessel structures including piping, pressure vessels, tanks and general ships structures using conventional Non-Destructive Testing and Visual Inspection techniques.
The provision of skilled and experienced insulation personnel has become an integral part of the multi-disciplined and skilled service package that Petrotech offers. One of the most reliable methods of inspection is visual inspection by experienced personnel and this often requires the removal and replacing of insulation material.
